ACCEA Friend of Education Nominees

Every school district has one. Maybe a teacher, an ESP, an administrator, or maybe a member of the community.  It seems that every school community has someone who goes out of their way, goes beyond what is expected, to make that community a better place to teach and learn.

ACCEA will host our third Friends of Education Gala April 13, 2018, celebrating those special individuals who make our work, and our lives, a little better. In previous years we have honored teachers, administrators, community supporters, union leaders and activists, and even former students who have given back to education in some manner.

Do you have an individual, or even a group for that matter, that makes your schools a better place? Please nominate them for the 2018 Friend of Education Award.

Nominations were due November 1st.

Nomination guidelines

  1. Must be a person that has made significant contributions to public education, students or for Association members in Atlantic County. If the nominee is an agency, corporation or service club, please provide the name of contact person.
  2. The contribution must be of significant stature and the nominator must provide a specific reason as to why the nominee should receive the award.
  3. The award may be conferred upon persons in the political, business, or civic community, or upon any supporter of public education.
  4. The Friends of Education committee reserves the right to seek additional information on the nomination.
