“The Atlantic County Council of Education Associations (ACCEA) is proud to once again sponsor the Kids Fit Mile. Promoting healthy lifestyles throughout the year for teachers, students, and community members is one of the many activities that our members enjoy. Working with the Kids Fit Final Mile allows ACCEA members help instill PRIDE in student lives and ensure active positive healthy citizens for the future, both inside and outside of the classroom.” Betty Miller, ACCEA Treasurer.
This year’s event was again sponsored by the Atlantic County Council of Education Associations. Our contributions to the race promote the importance of physical fitness and correlation between health bodies and healthy minds!
Participants received a custom t-shirt and finisher medal and a chance to raise funds for the benefiting charitable organization, CASA. CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA for Children recruits, trains and supports citizen-volunteers who advocate for children in the community and in the courtroom.
- Twice as likely to be adopted, than to linger in long-term foster care
- Half as likely to re-enter the foster care system

- More likely to do better in school
In Atlantic and Cape May Counties 350 children have a CASA volunteer. A trusted adult who will stick with them until their case is resolved. But 650 children are still waiting.
CASA of Atlantic and Cape May Counties has promised to match a volunteer with every waiting child by 2017. To do that, they need your help. Your support and participation in the Kids Fit Final Mile sponsored by Atlantic County Council of Education Associations can change a child’s life.
All proceeds benefit CASA for Children. Learn more at AtlanticCapeCASA.org
